We have two options available for digitally "passing the basket" as we continue remote meetings as one of the changes brought on in 2020.  Member contributions are completely voluntary, exactly the same as when the basket comes around in an in-person meeting.

Venmo (transactions are free if drawn from your bank; 3% if drawn from your credit card)

1. Create your own Venmo account HERE.

2. Connect it to your bank account

3. Download and install the Venmo app on your phone

4. From the app, tap the icon in the upper right corner

5. Add recipient: @Awakening-NS in the search bar

6. Select Awakening-NS from the list that comes up - CAUTION: there is an "Awakenings Group" that comes up as an option... THEY AREN'T US! We are "Awakening-NS"

7. Enter the amount of your contribution

8. Answer "What's it for?" if you like

9. Select "Pay"

7. Enter the amount of your contribution

8. Add a message if you like

9. Select Friends and Family, hit Next

10. Confirm your bank or credit card

11. Select "Send"

Our daily basket contributions go to support our group and the service entities listed below.

After holding out a prudent reserve, we contribute monthly to:

• St. Dunstan's Church (meeting space) (35%)

• Group Supplies (books, literature, chips, coffee, cleaning supplies) (15%)

• Northeast Central Service (our Intergroup Service Office and AA central phone answering for Northeast Oklahoma) (25%)

• District 30 (most of northeast Oklahoma) (5%)

• Area 57 (all of Oklahoma) (10%)

• General Service Office (New York City) (10%)
